This time, what we are going to present is about different types of reading.
အခုတင္ျပမယ့္ အေၾကာင္းအရာေလးကေတာ့ စာဖတ္နည္းအမ်ိဳးမ်ိဳးအေၾကာင္း ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

The type of reading (sometimes called reading strategy) will be determined predominantly by the purpose for the reading.
စာဖတ္ျခင္းအမ်ိဳးအစားမ်ား (တစ္ခါတစ္ရံ စာဖတ္ျခင္းနည္းဗ်ဴဟာလို႔လဲ ေခၚပါတယ္) ကို အဓိကအားျဖင့္ စာဖတ္ရတဲ့ရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္အလိုက္ ခြဲျခားသတ္မွတ္ႏိုင္ပါတယ္။

Some important categories are:
တစ္ခ်ိဳ႕ အေရးႀကီးတဲ့ အမ်ိဳးအစားေတြကေတာ့ -

1 SKIMMING. The eyes run quickly over the text to discover what it is about, the main idea(s), the gist. Thus, skimming occurs in the following.
၁ အေပၚယံရွပ္၍ဖတ္ျခင္း။ မ်က္လံုးေတြကို စာသားေတြေပၚ အလၽွင္အျမန္လႈပ္ရွားေစၿပီး အေၾကာင္းအရာကဘာ၊ အဓိကရည္ရြယ္ခ်က္ကဘာ၊ ဆိုလိုရင္းကဘာ ဆိုတာေတြ႕ကို ရွာေဖြတာမ်ိဳးပါ။ ဒါေၾကာင့္မို႔ အေပၚယံရွပ္ဖတ္ျခင္းကို ေအာက္ပါအေျခအေနေတြမွာ ေတြ႕ရပါတယ္။

(i) When the reader looks quickly at the contents page of a book, or at the chapter headings, subheadings, etc. This is sometimes called previewing. Another example is when the reader glances quickly through a newspaper to see what are the main items of the day. This will often mean just glancing at the headlines.
(၁) စာဖတ္သူတစ္ေယာက္က စာအုပ္တစ္အုပ္ရဲ႕ အေၾကာင္းအရာ စာမ်က္ႏွာ၊ ဒါမွမဟုတ္ သင္ခန္းစာေခါင္းစဥ္ေတြ၊ ေခါင္းစဥ္ခြဲေတြ စတာေတြကို ျမန္ျမန္ေလး ၾကည့္လိုက္တာမ်ိဳးပါ။ ဒါကို တစ္ခါတစ္ရံမွာေတာ့ စာျမည္းျခင္းလို႔လဲ ေခၚပါတယ္။ တျခား ဥပမာတစ္ခုကေတာ့ စာဖတ္သူက ဒီေန႔ သတင္းစာထဲ ဘာအေၾကာင္းအရာေတြပါသလဲလို႔ ဖ်တ္ခနဲၾကည့္လိုက္တာမ်ိဳးပါ။ ဒါဟာ ရံဖန္ရံခါမွာေတာ့ ေခါင္းစီးစာေၾကာင္းေတြကို ဖ်တ္ခနဲၾကည့္႐ံုတင္ေလးလို႔ ဆိုလိုပါတယ္။

(2) When the reader goes through a particular passage such as a newspaper article merely to get the gist.
(၂) စာဖတ္သူက သတင္းစာပါ စာပိုဒ္တစ္ခုခုကို ဆိုလိုရင္း သိရ႐ံုမၽွဖတ္တဲ့အခါမ်ိဳးပါ။

2 SCANNING. Here the reader is on the look-out for a particular item or items he believes is in the text; for example, the name of the scorer in a football report. Again it is fairly fast reading with instant rejection of all irrelevant data, perhaps most of the text.
၂ ႏွံ႔စပ္ေအာင္ဖတ္ျခင္း။ ဒီမွာေတာ့ စာဖတ္သူက ဒီစာထဲမွာ သူရွာေနတဲ့ အေၾကာင္းအရာ (ေတြ) ပါလိမ့္မယ္လို႔ ယံုၾကည္ၿပီး ရွာၾကည့္ေနတဲ့ အေနအထားပါ။ ဥပမာ ေဘာလံုးပြဲရလဒ္တင္ျပခ်က္ထဲမွာ အႏိုင္ရတဲ့အသင္းရဲ႕နာမည္ကို ရွာတာမ်ိဳးပါ။ ေနာက္ၿပီးေတာ့ ဒီအမ်ိဳးအစားဟာ မဆီေလ်ာ္ရဲ႕ အခ်က္အလက္ေတြ (စာသားအားလံုးနီးပါးလဲ ျဖစ္ေကာင္းျဖစ္ႏိုင္ပါတယ္) အားလံုးကို ေတာက္ေလၽွာက္ ေရွာင္ရွားသြားတဲ့အတြက္ အေတာ္အသင့္ ျမန္ဆန္တဲ့ စာဖတ္နည္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

3 INTENSIVE READING. Also called study reading, this involves close study of the text. As the amount of comprehension should be high, the speed of reading is correspondently slower.
၃ စူးစူးစိုက္စိုက္ဖတ္ျခင္း။ ေလ့လာဖတ္႐ွုျခင္းလို႔လဲ ေခၚၿပီး ဒီစာဖတ္နည္းမွာ စာသားကို အတြင္းက်က်ေလ့လာမႈ ပါဝင္ရပါတယ္။ နားလည္မႈအတိုင္းအတာ ျမင့္မားသင့္သည္ႏွင့္အညီ ဒီစာဖတ္နည္းဟာ ပိုေႏွးပါတယ္။
